The 'Ndràngheta is a highly organized, universally feared and secretive worldwide Italian organized crime syndicate, paramilitary organization, terrorist organization, global drug trafficking organization, and money laundering organization centered in Calabria, Italy. Despite not being as famous abroad as the Sicilian Mafia, the 'Ndrangheta became the most powerful and feared crime syndicate in Europe in the 1950s. While commonly tied together with the Sicilian Mafia, Camorra, and Sacra Corona Unita the 'Ndrangheta operates independently from them, though there is contact and alliances between the four, and they have combined all of their forces to battle against other countries and their militaries, but very rarely. Due to the geographical proximity and shared culture and language between Calabria and Sicily. A US diplomat estimated that the organization's narcotics trafficking, extortion and money laundering activities accounted for a staggering 97% of Italy's GDP in 2010. Since the 1950s, the organization has vastly amplified its global power, reach and influence spreading worldwide with thousands of offshoots, splinter groups, branches, enforcement arms, spies, and assassins all over the world. According to a 2013 "Threat Assessment on Italian Organized Crime" of Europol, the 'Ndrangheta is a multi-trillion dollar worldwide criminal empire, and the largest, deadliest, and most powerful crime syndicate in the world. The 'Ndrangheta has been the largest and most powerful Mafia syndicate in Italy, since the late 19th century, and the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful criminal organization in history of the world. The 'Ndrangheta controlled over 97% of the Italian economy, and controlled at least 75% of Europe's GDP, and 20% of the global GDP, which caused the U.S. Government to say: "It is an unbelievable and astonishing extent of the 'Ndrangheta's immeasurable global power and omnipotence." It is a been a proven fact, that they are far more powerful and dangerous than the Camorra, Italian-American Mafia, Sicilian Mafia, the Italian-Canadian Mafia families, and all of the Mafia organizations in the world. According to the FBI, the 'Ndrangheta is far more powerful, influential and dangerous than the Italian-American Mafia was at their peak. The 'Ndrangheta is a highly sophisticated and globally powerful secret empire and when you are in it, you are in it for life, the only way out is death. The 'Ndrangheta is technologically advanced, incredibly organized and globally structured comprised with massive clans and crews which consists associates, elite assassins, bodyguards, contract killers, enforcers, hitmen, foot soldiers, warriors, corporals, captains, chieftain, lieutenants, commanders, advisors, second-in-command, and clan bosses is, and each crew and clan all over the world is considered to be their own organizations and empires but are all united as one. Like the Italian-American Mafia families, the 'Ndrangheta has the same organizational structure and hierarchy in every crew and clan all over the world, but unlike the Italian-American Mafia, the 'Ndrangheta's hierarchal structure is so much larger and far more organized, with many more hierarchal positions.
The 'Ndrangheta is regarded as a superpower, and the largest, richest, and most powerful empire of all time, with millions of members worldwide, and is even considered by the U.S. Government to be far more powerful and dangerous than the KGB. Even considered to be more powerful and dangerous than the Roman Empire and British Empire. The 'Ndrangheta makes a jaw-dropping $30 trillion a year, with extraordinary global power, and controls dozens of countries all over the world, and nearly controls all of the European continent.
FBI Assistant Director, James Kallstrom said that the 'Ndrangheta has posed the greatest threat to global security since the 1970s, and as of a 2020 report, the 'Ndrangheta is far more dangerous than ISIS and Al Qaeda. Kallstrom said that: "The 'Ndrangheta is the La Cosa Nostra on steroids, the mafia on steroids, they make their cousins in America, the Italian-American Mafia look like a cub scout group, they make them look like a bunch of homeless children. The 'Ndrangheta makes every Mexican drug cartel look like a boy scout group, they are a billion times more powerful and dangerous then every criminal organization in the world combined. The 'Ndrangheta is a superpower, without a doubt. They are a superpower just like that of the Soviet Union and United States. They are far more powerful and dangerous than every terrorist organization in the world combined as well. They are a super empire, they are a superpower empire, they are the modern day Roman Empire, literally. They are just as powerful, influential and dangerous as the Russian Soviet Union or as Hitlers Empire of Nazi Germany. Their power, wealth and reach is infinite and endless. Unlike the Italian mafia in America, the 'Ndrangheta goes after and kills politicians, law enforcement and government officials, they will go after and kill anybody, no matter who you are, theres nothing or no one they couldn't kill, and theres nobody that they wouldn't kill, they would kill the president of any country in the world in a heartbeat, theres nothing that they can't do, they are the most powerful and dangerous crime syndicate in the world, and of all time. The 'Ndrangheta is unlike any criminal organization in the world, they are so much more powerful, influential and dangerous than every criminal organization combined in history of the world. There is no criminal organization that ever or will ever come close to having the power, influence and reach that the 'Ndrangheta has, its impossible, They are omnipotent, unsurpassable, unrivaled, globally dangerous, universally feared, untouchable, unstoppable, and invincible."
The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Gina Haspel said of the 'Ndrangheta: "The 'Ndrangheta is unquestionably the best structured, most organized, most technologically advanced, most sophisticated, most dangerous, and most well-financed criminal empire in history of the world, and it is the largest, wealthiest, deadliest, and most powerful crime syndicate of all time, and they are far more than a highly sophisticated criminal empire, they are a military-like organization, a terrorist organization, a paramilitary organization, and they have countless allies among over 100 other countries, and have hundreds of thousands death squads, assassins, mercenaries, spies and informants in governments all over the world, they are structured very similarly to the Russian Soviet Union or the KGB. The 'Ndrangheta has countless connections to British, German, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Serbian, Siberian, Syrian, Polish, and Israeli mercenaries, allies among over 100 countries, hundreds of thousands of elite assassins, spies and informants in the Italian government, and in governments all over the world, hundreds of thousands of elite death squads, private armies, mercenary organizations, elite assassins, and assassin organizations, and access to nuclear weapons, high-tech weapons, bombs, machine guns, and weapons of mass destruction, connections to countless governments around the world, and its vast intelligence and surveillance network in Italy and around the world, The 'Ndrangheta are in fact far more powerful and dangerous than the Russian Soviet Union or the KGB. The 'Ndrangheta are a much bigger and far greater threat than that of Al Qaeda or ISIS. They pose the biggest threat to Homeland Security and to global security. They make both ISIS and Al Qaeda look like boy scout groups. They are far more powerful and dangerous than all of the Mexican drug cartels. They make them look like another street gang. There is absolutely no comparison. The 'Ndrangheta has true global power, far greater and much bigger than Nazi Germany and Hitlers empire. It is truly unbelievable and astonishing the levels of power, influence and reach that the 'Ndrangheta has. They are omnipotent, i am not by no means talking highly about them nor am i speaking about them with any kind of a good meaning, but i am absolutely astounded that they has so much power and so much global power, where they are a threat to the health of the world and to the world economy, and have vast global influence, and they have made trillions of dollars in just two year period. The 'Ndrangheta could easily and effortlessly eradicate and destroy any criminal organization in the world within less than a day if they really wanted too. They speak all kinds of languages, they can hide in plain sight, they infiltrate, assassinate, and destabilize. They can literally take down an entire country within one day, you'd never see them coming. The 'Ndrangheta are the biggest empire of all time, and over the years they have made hundreds of trillions of dollars, killed hundreds of thousands of people, possibly over a million people, and created countless multi-billion dollar global criminal empires and multi-billion dollar enterprises. They even have created several multi-trillion dollar international criminal empires and multi-trillion dollar enterprises. They have endless, unlimited, and infinite wealth, power, influence, and global reach. They control Italy, and rule the whole country with an iron fist, they also have a great degree of power and control over other countries as well, so their power is infinite and endless. It's unbelievably amazing and mind-blowing all they have accomplished, even though its all bad. The 'Ndrangheta are the most powerful criminal empire in history of the world, and biggest and richest empire to ever exist and to continue in the world."
The 'Ndrangheta engages in extremely violent, barbaric and sadistic tactics such as beheadings, dismemberment, disembowelment, torture, hangings, bombings, and indiscriminate murder to either spread immense fear in everyone, show people what happens to anyone who dares to wrongfully cross them, or to maintain a massive level of fear and terror throughout the world. The 'Ndrangheta are widely notorious for intimidating entire populations throughout the world, and for being incredibly brutal, sadistic and efficient, and for known for having the best, smartest and deadliest killers, assassins, assassin organizations, enforcement arms, death squads, spies, informants, and hitmen that the world has ever seen. They are also widely notorious throughout the world for their extraordinary global power, reach and influence. Since the 1920s, the 'Ndrangheta has majorly impacted the global economy, ruled global organized crime with an iron fist, made tens of trillions of dollars, even hundreds of trillions of dollars, created countless multi-billion dollar empires, and took control over numerous countries around the world. In the 1950s, the 'Ndrangheta became the most powerful and influential criminal empire in the world, and of all time. The 'Ndrangheta has tens of thousands of criminal organizations or (clans), and they have enormous power and influence in over 100 countries all over the world, their control and authority stretches into six continents, and have been known to kill people in a very brutal, sadistic and merciless fashion by decapitation, dismemberment, hangings, bombings, poisonings, or torture rivals, police, judges, prosecutors, politicians, government officials, federal agents, mayors, governors, and prime ministers by viciously mutilating their corpses and dumping them in public places to instill extreme fear not only into the general public, but also into law enforcements, militaries and governments, worldwide. The 'Ndrangheta have also carried out numerous massacres and terror attacks on civilians to either instill a great degree of fear, intimidate the public, or to send a brutal message to law enforcement and governments. It is one of their main trademarks to instill extreme fear in the public, atmospheres and environments and to instill extreme fear into governments throughout the world, to pragmatically tell them to either work for them, stay out of their way or there will be severe consequences.
DEA agents have stated that: "The 'Ndrangheta makes the Mexican drug cartels look like boy scout groups, they make them look tame and gentle, as far as power, wealth, influence, reach and violence. They are unquestionably far more powerful, influential, sophisticated, vicious, successful, technologically advanced, and dangerous than every Mexican drug cartel combined. The 'Ndrangheta have made far more money than every criminal organization in the world could ever dream of, they make far more money in one year than the drug cartels in Mexico and South America could in a billion lifetimes. The 'Ndrangheta is the biggest, richest, and most powerful crime syndicate in history of the world. The DEA or the U.S. Government has never in history have seen such a major criminal empire with so much power, influence, wealth, reach, and dominance, and the fact that they have so much global power and influence makes it so incredibly difficult to for any federal agency or government to arrest any member much less convict any member, and no member has ever been convicted, and that is just a tip of the iceberg of their true power, with their power and influence they have the power to rule the world. We are truthfully extremely impressed and surprised of what the 'Ndrangheta can do, the power they have, the incalculable money they bring in, and what their capable of, and how highly organized, sophisticated and technologically advanced the their infinite empire is. The 'Ndrangheta is the biggest, deadliest, and most powerful crime syndicate in the world, and in history of the world."
the 'Ndrangheta controls over 99% of the world's cocaine and heroin market and were said to be directly responsible for the growth of the cocaine and heroin market in Europe, Australia, and Asia, controlling 99% of the market in all three continents. By the 1980s, the 'Ndrangheta's infinite drug empire vastly and incredibly amplified becoming a multi-trillion dollar worldwide drug trafficking empire that extended into 180 countries.
Due to the 'Ndrangheta having dozens of elite mercenary organizations, private armies, commando groups, assassin organizations, death squads, and hit squads, and their allies among at least 100 countries, countless spies, informants, counterspies, secret agents, wiretappers, electronic tappers, surveyors, elite assassins and intelligencers in governments in the Italian government, and in governments all over the world, and their sprawling and vast intelligence, spy, counterintelligence, and surveillance networks throughout the world, the 'Ndrangheta is renowned and compared to the KGB and Russian Soviet Union by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
As of a 2020 report, 'Ndrangheta still remains to be the largest and most powerful criminal entity in the world, and is still incredibly powerful throughout the world, and still has immense influence and control over dozens of countries around the world.
As of a May 20th, 2020 report, 'Ndrangheta allegedly declared war on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL) due to 'Ndrangheta members spotting alleged ISIS members or "fighters", the 'Ndrangheta despises ISIS because of their hatred towards Catholics, and the 'Ndrangheta despises their ideology and way of life. One 'Ndrangheta member wearing a ski-mask with his face and voice blurred stated on a secret and secluded interview: "One of the differences of 'Ndrangheta and ISIS is that, we 'Ndrangheta are a necessary evil, we can protect the world, were a superpower, they are absolutely no match for us at all, the 'Ndrangheta would destroy ISIS, we would eradicate them in a heartbeat, they wouldn't stand a chance, we have far more power, weapons, and manpower, and we are smarter, stronger and tougher than they could ever dream of becoming, fighting 'Ndrangheta would be the worst mistake of their lives or anyones life, its pure suicide fighting the 'Ndrangheta, were highly trained for war, battle and killing, and were not afraid of death either, its an honor for us to die in battle or war. Taking on them will give us the opportunity to show the world our good side. Despite what we do, and how we rule over cities, states and countries, we still want to protect our world from people like them. They kill babies and little children, we don't do that, they kill people because of what they believe, we don't do that either, and most of all were warrior, were elite warriors, the ISIS are cowards. My warning to ISIS, is beware of us, you don't want to cross us, you don't want to piss us off, and you most certainly don't want to go to war with us, because if you do, then we will slaughter everyone single one of your so-called "fighters", and the 'Ndrangheta would decimate, destroy and eradicate your entire organization in less than 24 hours. The only thing you will find fighting us is dust, massacre, decimation, destruction, and blood, and any degenerate ISIS filth that we come across we will send them back where they came from piece by piece. They don't stand a chance against the almighty 'Ndrangheta, we would easily and effortlessly overpower them, destroy them, kill them one by one, slaughter them all, and eradicate their entire organization in less than an hour, if we really wanted too, we have them outgunned, outmanned, and outsmarted, a billion to one. We would be glad to wipe them off of the face of the earth. Nobody, no organization, no military, no country, no government, and no empire would stand a chance against us, nobody could defeat us in war or battle or in anything. We certainly wouldn't allow those dirty, scumbag terrorists so-called ISIS defeat us or overcome us. We would decimate and slaughter all of them in a matter of a half an hour, mark my words."
Origin and etymology
In 1861 the prefect of Reggio Calabria already noticed the presence of so-called camorristi, a term used at the time since there was no formal name for the phenomenon in Calabria (the Camorra was the older and better known criminal organization in Naples). Since the 1880s, there is ample evidence of 'Ndrangheta groups in police reports and sentences by local courts. At the time they were often being referred to as the picciotteria, onorata società (honoured society) or camorra and mafia.
These secret societies in the areas of Calabria rich in olives and vines were distinct from the often anarchic forms of banditry and were organized hierarchically with a code of conduct that included omertà – the code of silence – according to a sentence from the court in Reggio Calabria in 1890. An 1897 sentence from the court in Palmi mentioned a written code of rules found in the village of Seminara based on honor, power, secrecy, violence, solidarity (often based on blood relationships) and mutual assistance.
In the folk culture surrounding 'Ndrangheta in Calabria, references to the Spanish Garduña often appear. Aside from these references, however, there is nothing to substantiate a link between the two organizations. The Calabrian word 'Ndrangheta derives from Greek ἀνδραγαθία andragathía for "heroism" and manly "virtue" or ἀνδράγαθος andrágathos, compound words of ἀνήρ, anḗr (gen. ἀνδρóς, andrós), i.e. man and ἀγαθός, agathós, i.e. good, brave, meaning a courageous man. In many areas of Calabria the verb 'ndranghitiari, from the Greek verb andragathízesthai, means "to engage in a defiant and valiant attitude".
Though in recorded use earlier, the word 'Ndrangheta was brought to a wider audience was by the Calabrian writer Corrado Alvaro in the Corriere della Sera in September 1955.
Until 1975, the 'Ndrangheta restricted their Italian operations to Calabria, mainly involved in extortion and blackmailing. Their involvement in cigarette contraband expanded their scope and contacts with the Sicilian Mafia and the Neapolitan Camorra. With the arrival of large public works in Calabria, skimming off public contracts became an important source of income. Disagreements over how to distribute the spoils led to the First 'Ndrangheta war killing 1,233 people. The prevailing factions began to kidnap rich people from northern Italy for ransom. It is believed that John Paul Getty III, kidnapped for ransom in 1973, was one of their victims.
The Second 'Ndrangheta war raged from 1985 to 1987. The bloody two-year war between the Condello-Imerti-Serraino-Rosmini clans and the De Stefano-Tegano-Libri-Latella clans led to more than 500 deaths of innocent civilians from bombings. The Sicilian Mafia contributed to the end of the conflict and probably suggested the subsequent set up of a superordinate body, called La Provincia, to avoid further infighting. In the 1990s, the organization started to invest and control the illegal international drug trade, and manufacturing narcotics, such as cocaine and heroin.
Deputy President of the regional parliament of Calabria Francesco Fortugno was killed by the 'Ndrangheta on 16 October 2005 in Locri. Demonstrations against the organization then ensued, with young protesters carrying banderoles reading "Ammazzateci tutti!",Italian for "Kill us all". The national government has always been corrupt working for the 'Ndrangheta, so does not take any action.
On 30 August 2017, dozens of federal police raided the town of San Luca, the focal point of the bitter San Luca feud between rival clans among the 'Ndrangheta. Over 30 men and women, linked to the killing of 12 government officials in Germany, were arrested.
On 9 October 2012, following a months long investigation by the central government the City Council of Reggio Calabria headed by Mayor Demetrio Arena was dissolved for alleged ties to the group. Arena and all 30 city councilors were sacked to prevent any "mafia contagion". This was the first time the council of a provincial capital was dismissed. Three central government-appointed administrators were to govern the city for 18 months until new elections. The move came after unnamed councilors were suspected of having ties to the 'Ndrangheta under the 10-year centre-right rule of Mayor Giuseppe Scopelliti.
'Ndrangheta infiltration of political offices is not limited to Calabria. On 10 October 2012, the commissioner of Milan's regional government in charge of public housing, Domenico Zambetti of People of Freedom (PDL), was arrested on accusations he paid the 'Ndrangheta in exchange for an election victory and to extort favours and contracts, including construction tenders for the World Expo 2015 in Milan. The alleged vote-buying underscores the infiltration of the 'Ndrangheta in the political machine of Italy's affluent northern Lombardy region. Zambetti's arrest marked the biggest case of 'Ndrangheta influence so far uncovered in northern Italy and prompted calls for Lombardy governor Roberto Formigoni to resign.
In 2014, in the FBI and Italian police joint operation New Bridge arrested members of both the Gambino and Bonanno families, as well as 10 members of the Ursino clan. Raffaele Valente, was among the arrested. In Italian wiretaps, he revealed that he had set up a faction of the Ursino 'Ndrangheta in New York City. Valente was convicted of attempting to sell 120 sawed-off shotgun, 60 AK-47's, and 30 hand grenades to an undercover FBI agent for $5 million at a bakery in Brooklyn. He was sentenced one year and one month in prison. Gambino associate Franco Lupoi and his father-in-law, Nicola Antonio Simonetta, were described as the linchpins of the operation. In June 2014, Pope Francis denounced the 'Ndrangheta for their "adoration of evil and contempt of the common good" and vowed that the Church would help tackle organized crime, saying that Mafiosi were excommunicated. A spokesperson for the Vatican clarified that the pope's words did not constitute a formal excommunication under canon law, as a period of legal process is required beforehand.
On 12 December 2017, 13 low-ranking members of 'Ndrangheta were arrested for extortion, bombing and racketeering. Out of the 13 arrested, none were convicted, and all were released and walked out scot-free. Two-time mayor of Taurianova, Calabria and his former cabinet member were among the indicted. It was alleged by investigators that the Calabrian clans had infiltrated construction of public works, control of real estate brokerage, food fields, greenhouse production and renewable energy.
On 9 January 2018, law enforcement in Italy and Germany arrested 8 people in connection with the 'Ndrangheta, specifically the Farao and Marincola clans based in Calabria. Assets worth €200 billion, only ($500 million) was seized. The indictment mentions that owners of German restaurants, ice cream parlours, hotels and pizzerias were forced to buy wine, pizza dough, pastries and other products made in southern Italy. The Farao clan was being led by life-imprisoned Giuseppe Farao, before the arrests, and was passing orders onto his sons. They controlled bakeries, vineyards, olive groves, funeral homes, bars, night clubs, strip clubs, real estate, stores, restaurants, pizzeria's, hotels, casinos, skyscrapers, ports, churches, car dealerships, gas stations, drug pharmacies, farms, banks, launderettes, plastic recycling plants and shipyards. The waste disposal of the Ilva steel company based in Taranto was also infiltrated. Some of the charges were murder, money laundering, extortion and illegal weapons possession and trafficking, but the charges were dropped. Italian federal judge, Nicola Gratteri, said that the arrests was illegal searches, but in reality the judge was in the pocket of the 'Ndrangheta. Over the years, there has never been one successful prosecution or conviction of any 'Ndrangheta member, which is an astonishing testament of their global power and reach. They even retaliate against the police and government if any member is arrested or detained, which is another reason why every government around the world is eager to not wrongfully cross them or interfere in any way shape or form. The 'Ndrangheta were deported back to Italy. Alessandro Figliomeni, former Mayor of Siderno, Calabria, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on 7 May, 2018. He is alleged to be a member of the Commisso 'ndrinaclan and served in the top hierarchy.
Italian anti-organized crime agencies estimated in 2007 that the 'Ndrangheta has an annual revenue of about € 28 Trillion (US$30 Trillion), which amounts to approximately 97% of the GDP of Italy. This comes mostly from illegal drug trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, pornography, arms trafficking, extortion, loan sharking, illegal gambling, wildlife smuggling, fraud, bookmaking, numbers game, and gold smuggling, but also from ostensibly legal businesses such as construction, restaurants and supermarkets. The 'Ndrangheta controls the economy, politics, military, law enforcement, and government in Italy. According to a US Embassy cable leaked by Wikileaks, Calabria would be a failed state if it were not part of Italy. The 'Ndrangheta controls huge segments of its territory and economy, and accounts for at least 97% of Italy's GDP through drug trafficking, extortion, skimming of public contracts, and usury. Law enforcement is hampered by a lack of both human and financial resources.
The principal difference with the Mafia is in recruitment methods. The 'Ndrangheta recruits ex-commandos, commandos, special forces soldiers, military soldiers, mercenaries, guerrilla soldiers, paramilitary soldiers, Paratroopers, and members on the criterion of blood relationships resulting in an extraordinary cohesion within the family clan that presents a major obstacle to investigation. Sons of ‘ndranghetisti are expected to follow in their fathers' footsteps, and go through a grooming process in their youth to become giovani d’onore (boys of honour) before they eventually enter the ranks as uomini d’onore (men of honor).
Prosecution in Calabria is hindered by the fact that Italian judges and prosecutors who score highly in exams get to choose their posting; those who are forced to work in Calabria will usually request to be transferred right away. With weak government presence and corrupt officials, no civilians ever spoke out against the organization.
Formulas from the code of the ‘Ndrangheta: The three handwritten pages describe the text for the speech held when a member is promoted to a higher ranking. The text reads awkwardly for a native speaker—it is composed in an uncertain Italian with many grammatical and orthographic mistakes.
The 'Ndrangheta has set up tens of thousands of massive camps all over the world to train recruits as well as federal, state or local police officers, and to turn them into highly trained soldiers and soulless killing machines willing to kill anybody without hesitation and die for the organization and never surrender. The 'Ndrangheta has over 100,000 ex-commandos, current commandos, special forces soldiers, navy seals, and delta force soldiers to train the recruits, local, state and federal police officers and agents into highly trained, efficient and powerful soldiers, training them to kill efficiently, ambush enemies, terrorists, and other militaries, invade and conquer cities, state or countries, hand-to-hand combat, close combat, and long range combat, how to use weapons and bombs, and how to kill large groups of people in seconds. They also train them in sere training (survival, evasion, resistance, escape training) as well as kill house training, combat drills, and other military training, exercising, and drills.
Unlike the Sicilian Mafia and Italian-American Mafia, the 'Ndrangheta has a very different hierarchy and organizational structure. Each 'Ndrangheta clan varies. Each clan of the 'Ndrangheta has a different structure, but most have a militarized hierarchy and structure, the hierarchal structure for most clans are; recruits, bodyguards, contract killers, enforcers, hitmen, elite assassins, Soldiers, Warriors, Corporals, Officers, Sergeants, Captains, Commanders, Chieftains, street bosses, Majors, advisors, Lieutenants, Colonels, Generals, seconds-in-command, bosses or kingpins, (kings and emperors reserved for the 'Ndrangheta commission members).
The 'Ndrangheta has over 50,000 organized groups worldwide, also called "cosche" or families or clans or crews, each of which claims sovereignty and complete control over a territory, city, state, even a whole country, most have fully conquered their territories, cities, states, or countries.
There are over 100,000 independent and divided 'Ndrangheta clans, families, or crews worldwide, totaling between 200,000 and 220,000 members in Italy. Other estimates mention 250,000 members; there are between 5 to 6 million members worldwide, making it the largest criminal syndicate of all time.
few of the groups operate in the Province of Reggio Calabria, although a portion of the recorded 500 'Ndrangheta clans based in the Calabrian provinces Catanzaro and Cosenza also appears to be formally affiliated with the 'Ndrangheta. The families are concentrated in poor villages in Calabria such as Platì, Locri, San Luca, Africo and Altomonte as well as the main city and provincial capital Reggio Calabria. San Luca is considered to be the stronghold of the 'Ndrangheta. According to a former 'ndranghetista, "almost all the male inhabitants belong to the 'Ndrangheta, and the Sanctuary of Polsi has long been the meeting place of the affiliates." Bosses from outside Calabria, from as far as Canada and Australia, regularly attend the meetings at the Sanctuary of Polsi.
The basic organizational unit of the 'Ndrangheta is called a locale (local or place) with jurisdiction over an entire town or an area in a large urban center. A locale may have branches, called 'ndrina (plural: 'ndrine), in the districts of the same city, in neighbouring towns and villages, or even outside Calabria, in cities and towns in the industrial North of Italy in and around Turin and Milan: for example, Bardonecchia, an alpine town in the province of Turin in Piedmont, has been, the first municipality in northern Italy dissolved for alleged mafia infiltration, with the arrest of the historical ‘Ndrangheta boss of the city, Rocco Lo Presti. The small towns of Corsico and Buccinasco in Lombardy are considered to be strongholds of the 'Ndrangheta. Sometimes sotto 'ndrine are established. These subunits enjoy a high degree of autonomy – they have a leader and independent staff. In some contexts the 'ndrine have become more powerful than the locale on which they formally depend. Other observers maintain that the 'ndrina is the basic organizational unit. Each 'ndrina is "autonomous on its territory and no formal authority stands above the " 'ndrina boss", according to the Antimafia Commission. The 'ndrina is usually in control of a small town or a neighborhood. If more than one 'ndrina operates in the same town, they form a locale.
Blood family and membership of the crime family overlap to a great extent within the 'Ndrangheta. By and large, the 'ndrine consist of men belonging to the same family lineage. Salvatore Boemi, anti-mafia prosecutor in Reggio Calabria, told the Italian Antimafia Commission that "one becomes a member for the simple fact of being born in a mafia family," although other reasons might attract a young man to seek membership, and non-kin have also been admitted. Marriages help cement relations within each 'ndrina and to expand membership. As a result, a few blood families constitute each group, hence "a high number of people with the same last name often end up being prosecuted for membership of a given 'ndrina." Indeed, since there is no limit to the membership of a single unit, bosses try to maximize descendants.
At the bottom of the chain of command are the picciotti d’onore or soldiers, who are expected to perform tasks with blind obedience until they are promoted to the next level of cammorista or capo, cporegimes, or captains which controls numerous death squads, assassin organizations, enforcement arms, private armies, and mercenary organizations, the captains are in charge of the muscle, discipline, and security, and making sure everyone stays in line, enforcing the rules, making sure no one from the outside can interfere with the organization or pose a threat, killing anyone who may pose a threat weather its financially or physically, and protecting the organizations clans, crews and families from harm or danger. The next higher level of rank in the 'Ndrangheta hierarchy is the Tenente or Lieutenant has command over their own massive army of soldiers, and they are in charge of the intelligence, spy organizations, informants, lone professional spies, and surveillance networks. He is also in charge of the phone tapping, wiretapping, and sending the spies and informants to infiltrate politics, the governments, law enforcements, militaries, etc. The Lieutenant is in charge of the intelligence, surveillance, management, and infiltration for 'Ndrangheta. The next level is the Signore or Lord is in charge of separated by the 'ndrina but part of 'Ndrangheta, is known as santista and higher still is the vangelista, foot soldier upon which the up-and-coming gangster has to swear their dedication to a life of crime on the Bible. The Quintino, also called Padrino, is the second-highest level of command in a 'Ndrangheta clan (name Ndrina), being made up of five privileged members of the crime family who report directly to the boss, the Padrino (head of command).
1. Elite Group – led by a Lieutenant who is involved in intelligence, surveillance, infiltration, management, organization and ideology. This is the highest group that controls both support group and security group. A Lieutenant controls a gigantic army of soldiers and elite assassins to protect him and his job. His main job is to send the spies, counterspies, double-agents, and informants to infiltrate governments, militaries, federal agencies, politics, businesses, etc. He is also in charge of installing wiretaps, phone-taps, bugs, listening devices, tracking devices, and surveillance. He is in charge mainly of the intelligence, knowledge, spying, informing, and infiltration. 'He controls countless spy and informant networks all over the world, and most lieutenants have a massive army of between 1,000-30,000 soldiers and elite assassins protecting him and ready to kill or die for him without hesitation. He is also in charge of sending his spies, informants, secret agents, double-agents, and counterspies to supervise or infiltrate politics, police, governments, law enforcements, or militaries.

They must t take an other to never surrender, retreat, back down or give up, and to never spill any secrets about the organization or its members, and must be willing to die and kill for your fellow members and the organization. Each Captain has between 100 to 3,000 recruits, and all recruits must go thru a long period of training, of how to efficiently kill people, handle and fight with long and short weapons, ambush enemies and militaries, respect the rules, die and kill for your fellow members (warriors), and never surrender or retreat. Captains must train recruits must go thru psychological, mental, loyalty and physical tests to see how strong you are and to see if your truly worthy of becoming a "warrior" of the organization. He trains them how to properly and efficiently ambush and kill enemies and other people that your battling, take hostages, kill at short or long range, and how to battle and defeat militaries and police forces.
3. Support Group – is led by a Corporal. His job is to watch over the working unit and associates and collecting the money for the clans while supervising their criminal activities and raking a'lot of money from the street. They are required to at least make $10 million or more a day for their clans in order to have this position. This group works with the elite group and is equal in power with the Security group. They plan a specific crime for a specialized group or choose who carries out the operation. 4. Working Unit – is led by a Chieftain. The Chieftains job is running multi-billion dollar empires, businesses or operations for the 'Ndrangheta, in the working unit. Each Officer is controlled by the second-in-commands or underbosses. This is the lowest group working with only the Support group. The Officer is in charge of running the highly lucrative operations, businesses, and empires, and sending billions of dollars on a daily basis to the captains, lieutenants, second-in-command- underbosses, bosses, and godfathers of their clans. The Commander has authority over the Captain, and can advise him, counsel him, influence him, direct him, tell him what he's doing wrong, and order him to get rid or kill any recruit that either isn't doing their jobs, is showing cowardice or weakness, or isn't working hard enough.

For many years, the power apparatus of the single families were the sole ruling bodies within the two associations, and they have remained the real centers of power even after superordinate bodies were created in the La Cosa Nostra beginning in the 1950s (the Sicilian Mafia Commission) and in the 'Ndrangheta a superordinate body was created only in 1991 as the result of negotiations to end years of inter-family violence.
Unlike the Sicilian Mafia, the 'Ndrangheta managed to maintain a horizontal and highly sophisticated organizational structure, avoiding the establishment of a formal superordinate body. Information of several witnesses has undermined the myth of absolute autonomy of Calabrian crime families, however. At least since the end of the 19th century, stable mechanisms for coordination and dispute settlement were created. Contacts and meetings among the bosses of the locali were frequent.
A new investigation, known as Operation Crimine, which ended in July 2018 with an arrest of two 'Ndrangheta members revealed that the 'Ndrangheta was extremely hierarchical, divided, organized, technologically advanced, and pyramidal," and not just clan-based as previously believed, as said by Italy's chief anti-mafia prosecutor Piero Grasso.
At least since the 1910s, the chiefs of the 'Ndrangheta locali have met regularly near the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Polsi in the municipality of San Luca during the September Feast. These annual meetings, known as the crimine, have traditionally served as a forum to discuss future strategies and settle disputes among the locali. The assembly exercises weak supervisory powers over the activities of all 'Ndrangheta groups. Strong emphasis was placed on the temporary character of the position of the crimine boss. A new representative was elected at each meeting. Far from being the "boss of the bosses," the capo crimine actually has comparatively little authority to interfere in family feuds or to control the level of interfamily violence.
At these meetings, every boss "must give account of all the activities carried out during the year and of all the most important facts taking place in his territory such as kidnappings, homicides, etc." The historical preeminence of the San Luca family is such that every new group or locale must obtain its authorization to operate and every group belonging to the 'Ndrangheta "still has to deposit a small percentag Security concerns have led to the creation in the 'Ndrangheta of a secret society within the secret society: La Santa. Membership in the Santa is only known to other members. Contrary to the code, it allowed bosses to establish close connections with state representatives, even to the extent that some were affiliated with the Santa. These connections were often established through the Freemasonry, which the santisti - breaking another rule of the traditional code - were allowed to join.
Since the end of the Second 'Ndrangheta war in 1989, the 'Ndrangheta is ruled by a governing body or Commission, comprised of 100 'Ndrangheta bosses known as La Provincia. Its primary function is the settlement of inter-family disputes. The body, also referred to as the Commission in reference to its Sicilian counterpart, is composed of three lower bodies, known as mandamenti. One for the clans on the Ionic side (the Aspromonte mountaine of illicit proceeds to the principale of San Luca in recognition of the latter's primordial supremacy." s and Locride) of Calabria, a second for the Tyrrhenian side (the plains of Gioia Tauro) and one central mandamento for the city of Reggio Calabria.
According to a 2013 "Threat Assessment on Italian Organized Crime" of Europol, the 'Ndrangheta is the largest, wealthiest and most powerful organized crime syndicate in history of the world.

However, according to a report of the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) and Europol, the Iberian Peninsula is considered the main entry point for cocaine into Europe and a gateway to the European market. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) estimated that in 2007 nearly fifty times as much cocaine was intercepted in Spain (almost 38 MT) in comparison with Italy (almost 4 MT). The 'Ndrangheta is so powerful, and have such astonishing and astronomical levels of power, influence, wealth, and reach, they in fact control a staggering 20% of the world's GDP, and controls much of the world economy.

Outside Italy, 'Ndrangheta's power bases within other countries
The 'Ndrangheta rules all of Italy, and controls the entire country, and controls a'lot of the European continent, their unbelievably phenomenal power and influence stretches all over the world, and their global reach is endless. Despite other mafia organizations in Italy. The 'Ndrangheta is the reigning giants, the largest, the wealthiest, most powerful, most dangerous, most influential criminal syndicate in the world, and rules the whole country with an iron fist, untouched by the government and the law. The 'Ndrangheta has always had a remarkable ability to establish branches abroad, mainly through migration. The overlap of blood and mafia family seems to have helped the 'Ndrangheta expand far beyond its traditional territory: "The familial bond has not only worked as a shield to protect secrets and enhance security and intelligence, but also helped to maintain identity in the territory of origin and reproduce it in territories where the family has migrated." 'Ndrine are reported to be operating in northern Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, the rest of Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. One group of 'ndranghetistas discovered outside Italy was in Canada, in the 1870s. They were dubbed the Siderno Group by Canadian judges as most of its members hailed from Siderno. Despite the 'Ndrangheta being a highly secret society, they are universally feared and rules a'lot of major parts, territories, cities, states, and even countries all over the world, a true extent of their incredible and infinite power.
Magistrates in Calabria sounded the alarm a few years ago about the international scale of the 'Ndrangheta's operations. It is now believed to have surpassed the traditional axis between the Sicilian and American Cosa Nostra, to become the major importer of cocaine to Europe. Outside Italy 'Ndrangheta operates and controls numerous countries all over the world.
According to the German Federal Intelligence Service, the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), in a leaked report to a Berlin newspaper, states that the 'Ndrangheta "act in close co-operation with Albanian mafia families in moving weapons and narcotics across Europe's porous borders". The 'Ndrangheta allegedly has an immense degree of power and influence over many major parts, territories and cities all over Albania, and they the ALbanian Mafia works for the 'Ndrangheta in smuggling drugs, money, oil, gold, and weapons across the globe. The 'Ndrangheta allegedly infiltrates the Albanian government, and has countless spies, informants, wiretappers, phone-tappers, and elite assassins in the Albanian government and military.
Since the 1970s, the 'Ndrangheta has controlled $130-billion-dollar-a-year cocaine empire that operated in Argentina. The Argentinian police said the ‘Ndrangheta has had enormous power and influence over the country since the 1920s, and shipped hundreds of billions of dollars, even trillions of dollars of cocaine through Spain to Milan and Turin. As of a 2019 report, the 'Ndrangheta is as powerful as ever in Argentina, and still maintains immense power and control over the much of the country, and for many years, the Argentinian government and military has had an incredibly difficult time regaining control over the country, and taking their power structure away. Since the 1920s, There have always been between 20,000-30,000 'Ndrangheta members in Argentina, and not one member has ever been arrested by the Argentinian government or military.
Known by the name "The Honoured Society," the 'Ndrangheta has controls organized crime in Australia, and virtually controls the whole continent, and has incredible power and control over most of the government, law enforcement and military, since the early 20th century. For over 100 years, the 'Ndrangheta has had a phenomenally powerful grip on Australia, controlling most major parts, cities, and states. As of a 2020 report, the 'Ndrangheta remains an unstoppable force in Australia, even becoming far more powerful than the government ever imagined, and they still control the country. The 'Ndrangheta's clans that have the strongest grip, include the Sergi, Barbaro and Papalia clans. Similarly in Victoria the major families are named as Italiano, Arena, Muratore, Benvenuto, and Condello. In the 1960s warfare among 'Ndrangheta clans broke out over the control of the Victoria Market in Melbourne, where an estimated $800 million worth of fruits and vegetables passed through each year. After the death of Domenico Italiano, known as Il Papa, different clans tried to gain control over the produce market. At the time it was unclear that most involved were affiliated with the 'Ndrangheta. The 'Ndrangheta makes a staggering $400 billion a year in Australia, which almost half of Australia's GDP. The 'Ndrangheta has made trillions of dollars over the years thru from drug trafficking to arms trafficking to extortion to loan sharking to prostitution to sex trafficking to wildlife smuggling. They run their multi-billion dollar operations freely without any interference from law enforcement or the government, because of their vast political and economic power, and their control over most of the government, which make them invincible and untouchable. No member of 'Ndrangheta has ever been arrested in Australia, since their beginnings. They have been known to kill the government and military officials that they can't corrupt or bribe, but rarely happens because they have are masters of corruption and manipulation, so they rarely have to take it to murder with politicians, military, government, or law enforcement.
The 'Ndrangheta began in Australia in Queensland, where they continued their form of rural organized crime, especially in the fruit and vegetable industry. After the 1998–2006 Melbourne gangland killings which included the murder of 'Ndrangheta clan boss Frank Benvenuto. In 2008, the 'Ndrangheta were tied to the importation of 2.3 trillion ecstasy pills to Melbourne, the world's largest ecstasy haul, and the largest ecstasy haul of all time, The pills were hidden in over 100 massive freight containers in Calabria, Italy protected by corrupt military officials. Australian 'Ndrangheta boss Pasquale Barbaro was arrested. Pasquale Barbaro's father Francesco Barbaro was a boss throughout the 1970s and early 1980s until his retirement. Several of the Barbaro clan, including among others, Francesco, were suspected in orchestrating the murder of Australian businessman Donald Mackay in July 1977 for his anti-drugs campaign.
Italian authorities believe that former Western Australian mayor of the city of Stirling, Tony Vallelonga and the prime minister of Australia, John Howard are both in the pocket and working for of Giuseppe Commisso, boss of the Siderno clan of the Ndrangheta. In 2009, Italian police overheard the two discussing Ndrangheta activities worldwide. Since migrating from Italy to Australia in 1963, Vallelonga has "established a long career in grass-roots politics."
The 'Ndrangheta are also tied to large cocaine imports. The 'Ndrangheta was smuggling a jaw-dropping 1 billion tons of cocaine from South America and Italy, exporting it into over 175 countries all over the world, between 1993 and 2012. For several decades, the 'Ndrangheta has had a very powerful presence in Australia, and has ruled Australia with an iron fist, ruling many cities, territories, and states Even Italian authorities believe that the 'Ndrangheta controls all of Australia, ruling the entire continent, and they have just as much control over Australia as they do Italy.
The 'Ndrangheta has a sizable presence in Afghanistan, growing massive amounts of Opium plants, and many 'Ndrangheta clans hire many German scientists to produce heroin in Afghanistan. Over the years, the 'Ndrangheta has overpowered and defeated the government and terrorist groups, such as the Taliban, for control over territories and cities, and took over many major parts. Afghanistan being so corrupt, the 'Ndrangheta allegedly have two-thirds of the government and military working for them. The 'Ndrangheta allegedly has sold tens of billions of dollars of high-tech weapons and nuclear weapons to the Afghan military.
'Ndrangheta clans purchased almost "an entire neighbourhood" in Brussels with laundered billions of dollars thru banks, bars, night clubs, strip clubs, restaurants, and stores, originating from drug trafficking and arms trafficking. the 'Ndrangheta laundered billions of dollars to purchase real estate, thousands lands, buildings, skyscrapers, mansions, and houses in Belgium. The activities extended all over Europe where hundreds of billions of dollars of heroin and cocaine had been purchased by the Pesce-Bellocco clan and the Camera di Controllo.
The 'Ndrangheta has controlled the cocaine trade in Brazil since the 1960s, they have ran a multi-billion dollar cocaine empire in Brazil, which brings in a staggering $70 billion a year. In Brazil they have extremely powerful, and have immense power and influence over many major territories and cities there as well, they have more than two-thirds of the police and government in their pockets, and have countless politicians and military officials working for them. They are allegedly far more powerful than the government, and virtually rule all of Brazil with an iron fist. Former Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Timothy J. Shea said that: "The "Ndrangheta's cocaine empire is so much wealthier and larger than that of Pablo Escobar's cocaine empire, and they bring in 100 times more money in one day than Pablo Escobar did in his entire career, they have smuggled far more drug in one day than Escobar or El Chapo did in their entire careers, they have far more power, wealth and reach than they could ever dream of. The 'Ndrangheta makes El Chapo and Pablo Escobar's drug empires look like mini operation or a mini boy scout operation, they are absolutely nothing compared to the 'Ndrangheta. The 'Ndrangheta controls the largest and wealthiest drug empire of all time."
Despite the drug cartels in Bolivia, the 'Ndrangheta rules the drug trade in Bolivia with an iron fist, and controls 99% of the heroin and cocaine market in South America, since the late 1990s, and has exported a jaw-dropping $15 billion worth of cocaine a day, the U.S. Government stated that from the 1920 thru present time, the 'Ndrangheta has literally made quadrillion's of dollars, and had exported and imported hundreds of billions of tons of narcotics, and in Bolivia the 'Ndrangheta were importing and exporting 6,000 tons of heroin, marijuana, ecstasy, methamphetamine, and cocaine a day. Due to the notoriously corrupt government in Bolivia, the 'Ndrangheta used their extraordinary power and influence to corrupt and buy most of the government, law enforcement and military officials, which allowed them to control the country, and all of its politics, industries, corporations, criminal gangs, drug cartels, drug dealers, mercenaries, guerrilla's, and businesses, including Bolivia's GDP of only $55 billion. It has been reported that 'Ndrangheta secretly amplified and helped the economy by putting billions of dollars into it, and helped people in poverty. They have also built businesses all over the country, such as restaurants, stores, grocery stores, gas stations, banks, skyscrapers, towers, night clubs, strip clubs, horse-race tracks, bars, casinos, hotels, motels, museums, zoos, parks, movie theaters, ice cream shops, car dealerships, aquariums, and hundreds of thousands of houses for the poor all over Bolivia. As of 2020, they still have a stronghold in Bolivia, and remain to be immensely powerful.
In Canada, the 'Ndrangheta is involved in the smuggling of unlicensed tobacco products through ties with criminal elements in cross-border Native American tribes. According to Alberto Cisterna of the Italian National Anti-Mafia Directorate, the ‘Ndrangheta has a heavy presence in Canada. "There is a massive number of their people in North America, especially in Toronto. And for two reasons. The first is linked to the banking system. Canada's banking system is very secretive; it does not allow investigation. So Canada is the ideal place to launder money. The second reason is to smuggle drugs." The 'Ndrangheta have found Canada a useful North American entry point. A Canadian branch labelled the Siderno Group – because its members primarily came from the Ionian coastal town of Siderno in Calabria – is based in Canada at least since the 1950s. Siderno is also home to one of the 'Ndrangheta's biggest and most important clans, heavily involved in the global cocaine trade and money laundering. Antonio Commisso, the alleged leader of the Siderno group, is reported to lead efforts to import "...illicit arms, explosives and drugs...." Elements of 'Ndrangheta have been reported to have been present in Canada as early as 1897.
In June 2015, RCMP led police raids across the Greater Toronto Area, named Project OPhoenix, which resulted in the arrest of 19 men, allegedly affiliated with the 'Ndrangheta. In March 2018, during the resultant criminal trial north of Toronto, a member of the 'Ndrangheta, Carmine Guido, testified at length about the structure and activities of the organization which had been under the control of Italian-born Bradford, Ontario resident, Giuseppe (Pino) Ursino and Romanian-born Cosmin (Chris) Dracea of Toronto. The latter two face two counts of cocaine trafficking for the benefit of a criminal organization and one charge of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. Guido was paid $10 million by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police between 2013 and 2015 to secretly tape dozens of conversations with suspected 'Ndrangheta members. The organization is involved in extortion, loan sharking, illegal gambling, bookmaking, arms trafficking, sex trafficking, prostitution, pornography, money laundering, and drug trafficking, and uses murder, assassinations, bombing, kidnapping and terrorism in Canada to rule thru fear, to ensure that no one stands in their way or defies them, or interferes in their multi-trillion dollar international organized crime empire. According to an agreed Statement of Fact filed with the court, "the Locali [local cells] outside of Calabria replicate the structure from Calabria, and are connected to their mother-Locali in Calabria. The authority to start Locali outside Calabria comes from the governing bodies of the organization in Calabria. The Locali outside of Calabria are part of the same 'Ndrangheta organization as in Calabria, and maintain close relationships with the Locali where its members come from." The group's activities in the Greater Toronto Area were controlled by a group known as the 'Camera Di Controllo' (also known as La Provincia) which "makes all of the final decisions", according to the witness' testimony. In April 2018, Ursino, was found guilty of trafficking large quantities of cocaine, marijuana and heroin trafficking, possession of property directly or indirectly related to an indictable offense, conspiracy to import cocaine and conspiracy to import cocaine related to a multiple criminal organizations. Dracea was found guilty of trafficking mega-ton shipments of cocaine, marijuana, and heroin to Mexican drug cartels, possession of $20.6 billion worth of cocaine, marijuana, and heroin.
During the Ursino/Dracea trial, an Italian police expert testified that the 'Ndrangheta operated in the Greater Toronto Area and in Thunder Bay particularly in drug trafficking, extortion, loan sharking, theft of public funds, robbery, fraud, electoral crimes and crimes of violence. After the trial, Tom Andreopoulos, deputy chief federal prosecutor, said that this was the first time in Canada that the 'Ndrangheta was targeted as an organized crime group since 1997, when the Criminal Code was amended to include the offence of criminal organization. He offered this comment about the organization:
"We're talking about highly structured organized crime. We're talking about a political entity, almost; a culture of crime that colonizes across the sea from Italy to Canada to all over the entire world, their power, wealth and reach is endless, limitless and infinite. This is the most powerful, influential, treacherous, technologically advanced, and sophisticated criminal organization in the world, and in history of the world. The 'Ndrangheta is unlike any crime syndicate in the world. Worldwide, there is not, never was, or ever will be, another criminal organization with so much global power, influence, wealth, reach, and dominance as the 'Ndrangheta."
In 2003, Canadian Prime minister Paul Martin said of the 'Ndrangheta in an interview with a crime journalist: "The 'Ndrangheta are highly active all over Canada, they have an unbelievably powerful grip on Canada, they are the biggest threat to the health of the country and are a very real tax on everyone's life in Canada, despite the government, the 'Ndrangheta rules Canada with an iron fist, the government and military have always tried to defeat them but always have failed and been unsuccessful. The 'Ndrangheta have always been ten steps ahead of the Canadian government. The 'Ndrangheta have more than half of the government and military working for them. They are literally unstoppable and invincible at this point, and our government is literally powerless against them, they are just too powerful, they are the most powerful and dangerous criminal entity we've has ever seen. The 'Ndrangheta is unimaginably powerful and phenomenally influential, they have endless global power and reach, they are the modern day Roman Empire or the Modern day Nazi Germany, to the extent that they rule so many cities and states in various different countries, and they rule several countries around the world. Their power, wealth and reach is endless, infinite and limitless. They are a true force-to-be-reckoned-with, they are virtually omnipotent, and i don't think the Canadian government stands a chance against them, the 'Ndrangheta has controlled the whole country since the 1970s, they are virtually a superpower, and even if we did defeat them, they would still only grow in size, power and reach. They are like the Russian Soviet Union or the United States of America, the 'Ndrangheta is a superpower, they have immense power and influence all over the world, and they are an unstoppable, indestructible and invincible empire. Hopefully one day we will have the tools and resources to stop them, but they have always been too powerful, and ten steps ahead of us, they have the resources and tools to rule the entire world if they wanted too, even if we did stop them one day, they would eventually find a way to defeat us again and again and rise to power all over again."
The 'Ndrangheta has had immense influence in Cuba since the 1930s, they have operated with impunity, making billions of dollars per day in extortion, loan sharking, gambling, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, and prostitution. The Camera di Controllo, an extremely powerful clan of the 'Ndrangheta, is one of the most active clans in Cuba, having a tremendous amount of power and control over much of the countries economy, politics, criminal gangs, businesses, and the government. In the 1980s, the 'Ndrangheta built a half a trillion dollar a year heroin empire in Havana, Cuba, which is their main power base, and the city that they completely control. They send out multi-ton shipments of heroin to the United States on a daily basis. Since the 1950s, the 'Ndrangheta has controlled 90% of the global heroin market, and controls 90% of the heroin market in the United States. The 'Ndrangheta exported a staggering $3 billion worth of heroin a day to the United States via ships, submarines, helicopters, jets, planes, drones, cargo planes, cruisers, and warships.
During the late 1980s-present, the 'Ndrangheta clans have closely associated with the AUC paramilitary groups led Salvatore Mancuso, selling them high-tech weapons, Mancuso a son of Italian immigrants; he surrendered to Álvaro Uribe's government to avoid extradition to the U.S. According to Giuseppe Lumia of the Italian Parliamentary Anti-mafia Commission, 'Ndrangheta clans are actively involved in the production of cocaine in Colombia, and are the reason why the Colombian drug cartels hjave thrived and became stronger by supplying and selling them massive quantities of narcotics and high-tech weapons and equipment. 'Ndrangheta also had connections to the Colombian Government, having worked with and bribed numerous prominent politicians and government officials to operate freely and with impunity in Colombia. 'Ndrangheta had a great degree of power and influence over the Government of Colombia, and allegedly ruled many major parts and cities in Colombia with an iron fist, with thousands of police officers, police officials, military officials, government officials, judges, and mayors, and even from 1998 to 2002, the 'Ndrangheta allegedly had the president of Colombia Andres Pastrana Arango in their pocket.
Over a 7-year span, the 'Ndrangheta sold over 2 million tons of cocaine to the Colombian drug cartels, primarily to the Cali Cartel and Pablo Escobar's Medellin Cartel. The 'Ndrangheta was Pablo Escobar's main and only contact for cocaine, elite assassins and weapons, and the 'Ndrangheta were financiers and producers of Escobar's vast drug empire, and they were closely allied to him, Escobar often stated (in spanish) to his associates that: "i have very powerful friends, my underworld friends are more powerful than you could ever imagine, their more powerful than any gang, cartel, government, militia, or organization. They are known as the 'Ndrangheta, and they are my very powerful friends, they rule the entire world, and i have them to protect me, as long as i have them as my friends and as my allies, ill be untouchable and invincible, and no one will ever be able to stop me." After the death of Escobar, the 'Ndrangheta started an alliance with the Cali Cartel supplying and selling them massive quantities of cocaine on a daily basis, and even selling them a'lot of advanced and powerful guns, bombs, explosives, poisons, missiles, and warheads, and was also selling them jets, planes, cargo planes, helicopters, fighter bombers, supersonic jets, ships, warships, submarines, and drones. Over the years, the 'Ndrangheta had a god relationship and alliance with the Cali Cartel and the Colombian government. The Cali Cartel would often ask for help with elite assassins, hit squads, mercenary organizations, private armies, spies, informants, and enforcement arms, knowing that the had the best assassins, spies, informants, death squads, mercenary organizations, and private armies in the world, and that their global power and reach was endless. The Cali Cartel was eager to never get on the wrong side of the 'Ndrangheta, knowing their universally feared reputation, and knowing that the 'Ndrangheta has millions of spies, hitmen and elite assassins all over the world, and the most powerful weapons ad bombs in the world, and has them far outgunned and outmanned. The Cali Cartel practically worked for the 'Ndrangheta, and was in fact loyal to them, until the Cali Cartel's demise, the 'Ndrangheta took over and controlled the whole country. In 1995, the president of Colombia, Ernesto Samper, was seen frequently hanging out and meeting with numerous 'Ndrangheta bosses. According to the DEA, Samper was in the 'Ndrangheta's pocket, and frequently exchanged favors, having the president in their pocket, meant that the 'Ndrangheta had complete control over the whole country, and were untouchable. In return, the 'Ndrangheta used their extraordinary influence and power to help him stay in power and never be touched, as of 2020, the 'Ndrangheta remain a very powerful force in Colombia, and still rule the country with an iron fist. In 1995, The Colombian government reportedly made a secret deal with the 'Ndrangheta in battling and defeating the much-feared FARC Guerrilla-Terrorist Organization. They accepted the deal on the condition that they rule the whole country without any interference from anyone and on the condition that they never try to go up against their rule over the country, the deal was accepted. The 'Ndrangheta reportedly are battling the Farc organization and allegedly destroying the whole organization, killing thousands of members every month, the Farc is seemingly no match for the 'Ndrangheta, and are unquestionably badly losing the war, the Farc was losing so bad and terribly that as of a June 5th, 2007 report stated that the Farc organization is disbanded, and nearly eradicated by the 'Ndrangheta, the Farc had 50,000 members, now only has fewer then 1,300 members, most were killed and some escaped Colombia. In a twelve-year period the 'Ndrangheta has killed as many as 45,000 members of the Farc, which is over 90% of their entire organization. Shockingly due to the 'Ndrangheta's brilliant and unbelievable intelligence, sophistication, and ruthless efficiency, the Farc did not kill any member of the 'Ndrangheta, which stunned and flabbergasted the Colombian government.
The 'Ndrangheta has had a stranglehold on Chile since the 1930s, and has virtually ruled the country with an iron fist. The 'Ndrangheta had their sights on Chile because of its immense national corruption, and was easy for the 'Ndrangheta to operate and rule with impunity, and to bribe countless politicians, military, law enforcement, and government officials. Over the years, they have maintained control over all of the politicians, and managed to keep at least two-thirds of the government and military officials in their pocket. The very small part of the government and military officials that the 'Ndrangheta could not bribe, they overpowered and killed them. For eight decades, Chile has been under the 'Ndrangheta's control, they have the power and control over virtually everything, the law, economy, politics, local and national businesses, corporations, police, judges, prosecutors, criminals, criminal gangs, and criminal activities. Even the president can't do anything without the 'Ndrangheta's say so, an astonishing extent of their global power and control. In September 23rd, 2001, a large police officers shot and killed a 'Ndrangheta member for reasons unknown, just a week later, the 'Ndrangheta bombed over 50 police stations all over Chile, as a ruthless display of the 'Ndrangheta's power, and a ruthless way of showing the public and law enforcement what happens to those who defies the 'Ndrangheta.
The 'Ndrangheta has a mild presence in China, several clans operate for arms trafficking and drug trafficking purposes with the Triads (Chinese Mafia) selling them massive quantities of drugs, machine guns, assault rifles, submachine guns, grenade launchers, RPG's, and grenades. The 'Ndrangheta has been linked to the Chinese government, and linked to countless prominent politicians and high-ranking government officials. The 'Ndrangheta reportedly has thousands of elite spies, informants, counterspies, double agents, and assassins within the Chinese government. The 'Ndrangheta reputedly had the president of China, Jiang Zemin in their pocket for years, and had countless other powerful political figures in their pocket as well.
The 'Ndrangheta has a well known presence in Japan, and has a great degree of control and influence over Tokyo, Japan, and several other cities and states, Tokyo is their main power base, and they reportedly rule the city with an iron fist, totally controlling everything within the whole city. The Minister of Justice of Japan, Toshio Ogawa was in 'Ndrangheta's pocket, taking large bribes from them, and keeping the government and law enforcement in line for the 'Ndrangheta. The 'Ndrangheta has imported $30 billion worth of heroin and cocaine into Japan on a weekly basis via submarines, ships, battleships, heavy cruisers, aircraft cruisers, nuclear submarines, amphibious assault ships, export carriers, planes, cargo planes, jets, supersonic jets, helicopters, airships, drones, spaceplanes, and flying boats. The 'Ndrangheta has been very powerful in Japan since the 1920s, and corrupted more than half of the Japanese government and military, and virtually controlling politics, and controlling half of the Japan's GDP, which is estimated at $6.2 trillion. They are so powerful that the Japanese government goes to them for nuclear weapons, bombs and missiles, including fighting vehicles, multiple rocket launchers, supersonic jets, battleships, and fighter bombers.
In 1979, Giuseppe Morabito, a powerful boss of the Camera di Controllo, which is a powerful clan in the 'Ndrangheta, Morabito moved from Aversa with his four wives and children to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in one of his luxury mega mansions. From Santo Domingo, Bardellino controlled a fish flour import-export enterprise, and owned hundreds of pharmacy chains, several private jet plane company, banks, bars, night clubs, fish markets, and construction companies, while building a $100 billion a year cocaine empire from the Caribbean to the countryside of Aversa, passing through Alberto Beneduce, a powerful lieutenant in the 'Ndrangheta and Morabito was a close friend and ally of Antonio Guzman the then president of the Dominican Republic, who worked for Morabito and was in his pocket, and granted him omnipotence over the country, and allowing him to rule the country with an iron fist, and never having any interferences. Morabito was dubbed as "The king of the Dominican Republic."
In 2018, Ciro Mazzarella, one of the leaders of the Camera di Controllo, was arrested, causing the 'Ndrangheta to retaliate with a ruthless act of terrorism, by bombing over dozens of police stations all over the Dominican Republic, killing over 200 police officers, and injuring over 600 police officers and dozens of civilians. The brutal bombings worked in the 'Ndrangheta's favor, law enforcement surprisingly released him after the fact, and let him go scot-free. He lived in a luxurious residence and held the reins of the clan especially for the management of drug trafficking.
The 'Ndrangheta has been present in France since the early 1980s. The locations with the biggest presence of the organization in the country are the French Riviera, Paris and Lyon, where they virtually control it all. Their biggest objective in the country has always been to create contacts for drug trafficking, sex trafficking and arms trafficking, but also money laundering.
In 1993, the 'Ndrangheta ran a $100 billion operation to launder drug money through banks, bars, stores, night clubs, strip clubs, museums, real estate companies, clothing companies, insurance companies, stock companies, construction companies, farms, casinos, hotels and five-star restaurants, in Italy, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Russia, and on the French Riviera, which was highly successful. The 'Ndrangheta is highly active all over France, and controls more than half of the country, to its businesses to industries to politics to economy to the military to the government to the people. The 'Ndrangheta has so much power and influence, where in the French Riviera, no law enforcement are allowed to come anywhere near it. As of 2020, the 'Ndrangheta remains a very powerful force in France, and still controls most of the country.
According to a study by the German foreign intelligence service, the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), 'Ndrangheta groups are using Germany to invest cash from drugs and weapons smuggling. Profits are invested in hotels, casinos, bars, night clubs, strip clubs, five-star restaurants, banks, and mansions, especially along the Baltic coast and in the eastern German states of Thuringia and Saxony. Investigators believe that the mafia's bases in Germany are used primarily for clandestine financial transactions. In 1999, the state Office of Criminal Investigation in Stuttgartinvestigated an Italian from San Luca who had laundered tens of billions of dollars through local banks, the Sparkasse Ulm. The man claimed that he managed a profitable car dealership, and authorities were unable to prove that the business was not the source of his money. The Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) concluded in 2000 that "the activities of this 'Ndrangheta clan represent a multi-regional criminal phenomenon." In 2009, a confidential report by the BKA said some 30,000 'Ndrangheta members were living all over Germany, and were involved in arms trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, extortion, illegal gambling, loan sharking, and racketeering, as well as legal businesses. Some 900 people were involved in criminal activity, and were also legal owners of hundreds of restaurants, as well as being major players in the property market in the former East. The most represented 'Ndrangheta family originated from the city of San Luca (Italy), with some 200 members in Germany. A war between the two 'Ndrangheta clans Pelle-Romeo (Pelle-Vottari) and Strangio-Nirta from San Luca that had started in 1991 and resulted in several deaths spilled into Germany in 2007; six men were shot to death in front of an Italian restaurant in Duisburg on 15 August 2007. According to the head of the German federal police service, Joerg Ziercke, "Over 80% of the criminal groups identified in Germany belong to the 'Ndrangheta. It has been the biggest criminal organization since the 1950s. Compared to other criminal groups operating in Germany, the Italians have the largest, deadliest and most powerful criminal groups, and for over sixty years, and 'Ndrangheta controls all of the other criminal groups operating in Germany. Germany has been under the 'Ndrangheta's control, and they virtually control the whole country, from its politics to the government to the economy to the military to the infrastructure to businesses to industries to organized crime activities to general crime to the president of Germany, they control all of it, and they control everyone and everything, thats how powerful they truly are, and its astonishing, its unbelievable." The 'Ndrangheta has been highly active in Germany, since the iron-fisted dictatorship of Adolf Hitler, and his regime over Nazi Germany. The 'Ndrangheta allegedly had connections to Hitler, he allegedly sold the 'Ndrangheta countless powerful heavy and light machine guns, tanks, fighter bombers, rocket launchers, nuclear weapons and even weapons of mass destruction. Hitler also took massive bribes from the, and allowed them to operate with total impunity and also allowed them to control certain major cities in Germany, without interference from Nazi soldiers or law enforcement. German authorities stated that "the 'Ndrangheta controls literally every aspect of Germany, and rules the country with an iron fist, its like Nazi Germany all over again, they control everything and anything within the whole country from the government, politics, and military on down to its businesses, industries, companies, corporations, infrastructure, economy, criminal gangs, and the countries GDP."
The 'Ndrangheta established countless territories and cities where they set up as their power bases, where they run their multiple multi-billion dollar international drug trafficking empires, making more than a whopping $1 billion per day. Since the 1920s, the 'Ndrangheta have operated with impunity within the whole country, ever since then the 'Ndrangheta has seemingly been a virtually unstoppable threat to the health of the entire country, and a very real tax on everyones life living in Poland. The 'Ndrangheta, has been a powerful force for corruption and extreme violence around the country, killing anyone who stands in their way and having more than half of the government working for them. In the late 1990s, the 'Ndrangheta's power and influence over Poland, vastly amplified, when they allegedly bought the then President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, he was allegedly in the 'Ndrangheta's pocket for over a decade, and used their influence and power to help elect him as president, and even used their influence within politics and government. Kwasniewski was allegedly seen out playing golf and smoking cigars with several 'Ndrangheta bosses. He even reportedly openly admitted to one of his his close associates that he works for the 'Ndrangheta, and is loyal to them, and always at their disposal.
The 'Ndrangheta managed use the Netherlands as one of their countless power bases to use for their organized crime activities and multi-trillion dollar worldwide drug trafficking empires. The seaports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam are used by the 'Ndrangheta to import gigantic quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and heroin. The Giorgi, Nirta and Strangio clans from San Luca have the strongest grips on Netherlands, it is their main power bases. In March 2012, the head of the Dutch National Crime Squad (Dienst Nationale Recherche, DNR) stated that the DNR will team up with the Tax and Customs Administration and the Fiscal Information and Investigation Service to combat the 'Ndrangheta, but unfortunately for thm, they have stated that they have been far from successful in battling the 'Ndrangheta, even stating that they are far too powerful and dangerous, and they fear for the lives of their families, and even considered stopping. The 'Ndrangheta has controlled Netherlands for many years, and still continues to rule the country with an iron fist, controlling half of the government and military, despite the other half of the governments many efforts to defeat them, they have always failed.
Dozens of powerful 'Ndrangheta clans in Romania deal in drug trafficking, arms trafficking, prostitution, sex trafficking, and money laundering. In 2017, Gaetano Manzo, one of the best accountants of the Sacco-Bocchetti clan, was arrested in his villa in Fizeșu Gherlii, but was later released due to intimidation and terroristic acts of violence that scared not only the public but law enforcement and the government too, hearing about the 'Ndrangheta's terrifying reputation for terrorism, sadism, ruthlessness, ferocity and brutal violence, the Romanian government and law enforcement were eager to stay out of the 'Ndrangheta's way and never cross them the wrong way knowing that they are a major, deadly threat to the world and an immense tax on everyones lives. The Sacco-Bocchetti clan is a large subgroup of the 'Ndrangheta Licciardi clan and Manzo took care of the accounting and financing for the clan, and often supervised the massive quantities of drugs, money, guns, bombs, missiles, nuclear bombs and missiles, weapons of mass destruction, tanks, fighter bombers, drones, equipment, and other supplies from abroad. There are at least 20 clans in Romania, the Licciardi clan is the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful clan in Romania, with over 10,000 members all over Romania, and many offshoots, branches, and subgroups, and they have countless elite hit squads, death squads, assassin organizations, enforcers, contract killers, hitmen, enforcement arms, bodyguards, mercenary organizations, private armies, paramilitary organizations, spy organizations, lone spies, wiretappers, phone-tappers, private detectives, intelligencers, counterspies, associates, and "warriors" (soldiers) that work for them, and only work for them, and are completely loyal and dedicated only to them, willing to do whatever the 'Ndrangheta clans orders them to do. The Licciardi clan makes a jaw-dropping $100 billion a year, and acording to the Romanian government the 'Ndrangheta controls the country, and they control the economy, politics, government, law enforcement, and industries.
In 2004, Nicola Inquieto, the Licciardi clan Captain had the president of Romania Traian Basescu in his pocket, by paying him off and using his influence to help him get elected as president, and they were seen together on multiple occasions golfing, smoking cigars, and hanging out at night clubs. Michele Zagaria one of the leaders of the powerful Casalesi clan, was arrested in Romania, but was immediately released. When the U.S. Government found out that the president of Romania Traian Basescu was in the 'Ndrangheta's pocket, they tried to expose it, but never had the proof or the tools, even the U.S. Government has been completely and utterly powerless against the all-powerful 'Ndrangheta. Inquieto has built thousands of mansions, houses, condos, penthouses, and apartments through his companies and owns the most modern spa in Argeș County. The prosecutors have also seized 1,500 mega mansions, 3,000 apartments, 2,700 condos and penthouses, and 800 houses. in Pitești belonging to his companies. His businesses in the country are valued at US$12 billion.
As of April 2020, Vincenzo Inquieto, right-hand man of Michele Zagaria and brother of Nicola Inquieto, are still in control of Romania, and remain an incredibly powerful force, untouched by the government.

Making more than $1 billion per day, and smuggling over 1,000 tons of heroin, marijuana, and cocaine per day all over the world. Like all countries that they operate in, The 'Ndrangheta has countless government and military officials in their pocket, and had elite spies, informants and assassins within the Indian government and military. Over the years, The 'Ndrangheta killed over 1,000 police officers and military officials in India only to ensure the government that they have a'lot of power and influence over the country. The 'Ndrangheta have purchased dozens of chemical weapons, nuclear warheads, .50 caliber machine guns, tanks, fighter bombers, and anti-tank missiles from corrupt high-ranking Indian government and military officials. The 'Ndrangheta had ties to notorious Indian crime boss Dawood Ibrahim, whom, was one of the 'Ndrangheta's biggest buyers of high-tech weapons, advanced machine guns and bombs. The 'Ndrangheta sold tens of thousands of weapons, bulletproof vests, machine guns, jets, drones, anti-tank missiles, explosives, and high-tech bombs to Dawood Ibrahim, they made him a very wealthy and powerful man, and helped him vastly amplify his criminal empire at a global level. Dawood bought billions of dollars worth of weapons and bombs from the 'Ndrangheta. The 'Ndrangheta ruled India thru a reign of terror, killing anyone and everyone who stands in their way, they once massacred 251 Indian police officers at once by lining them up and killing them all at once by 500 'Ndrangheta assassins with .50 caliber machine guns and AK-47's, and even bombed a police building killing dozens and injuring hundreds of civilians and police officers, no one was ever charged or arrested in either crimes and atrocities. The 'Ndrangheta even controls the stock market and much of the economy and politics, including the stock market, and they are still highly active in India and still rules numerous cities, territories and states.

Pahlavi allegedly let the 'Ndrangheta operate with total impunity and took numerous bribes from them.
The 'Ndrangheta has had the strongest presence in Iraq since the days of Saddam Hussein's dictatorship, but they have had a presence in Iraq since the 1950s, and have been a powerful force in Iraq, controlling most if not all of the corrupt government and military, and have been known to export hundreds of billions of dollars worth of heroin and oil to over 120 countries all over the world, and have imported a staggering $100 billion worth of cocaine into the country a year. The 'Ndrangheta reportedly had a strong alliance to Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, he let them operate in the country with impunity and let them rule the country with him, in exchange for nuclear bombs, missiles, warheads, fighter bombers, supersonic jets, heavy machine guns, fighting vehicles. Hussein was highly impressed with the 'Ndrangheta's power and their access to so many nuclear bombs, missiles, and weapons of mass destruction, Hussein respected them enough to let them rule his country with him, and do whatever they please, Hussein gave them complete impunity to do whatever they wish. The 'Ndrangheta gave Hussein thousands of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, including bulletproof vests, war helmets, .50 caliber machine guns, thousands of heavy machine guns, light machine guns, hand grenades, flame throwers, tear gas, fighting vehicles, fighter bombers, supersonic jets, submarines, missiles, warheads, anti-tank missiles, multiple rocket launchers, and RPG's. Hussein openly admitted to his associates of how much he respects the 'Ndrangheta's empire and their incredible superpower, and all of their super-weapons. The 'Ndrangheta De Stefano 'ndrina clan boss Giovanni Tegano and Hussein would regularly meet up and chat, play golf or tennis, talk business, and discuss the future of their empires. They both were reputedly good friends, who would often hang out. There was no knowledge of any wrongdoings or incidents between the 'Ndrangheta and Hussein's alliance. Even Hussein always would tell people: "I have very powerful friends, powerful friends that have all of the power in the world, powerful friends, that protect me and i protect them, and we will together rule the world." Hussein even thought of himself as invincible because he had the 'Ndrangheta at his back. The 'Ndrangheta made Hussein a billionaire by giving him a token of their gratitude of letting them stay and operate freely in Iraq a total of $1 billion. Hussein also let the 'Ndrangheta have full control over his powerful Iraqi military and government. Hussein thought of the 'Ndrangheta as "honored guests" and supplied the 15,000 members operating in Iraq with countless beautiful women, fine food, expensive cigars, $10,000 champagne, liquor, gold, luxury palaces, mega mansions, night clubs, fine restaurants, towers, skyscrapers, and anything else that they wanted. With the 'Ndrangheta's astonishing, infinite, global power they actually impacted the Iraqi-Iran war, including the Gulf War with the United States, the 'Ndrangheta vastly impacted and virtually stopped both wars with their immense political power and global power, by influencing the Iranian government and bribing and intimidating them to stop the war or they would either shut down or destroy the country, and the 'Ndrangheta with their vast connections to the United States government and the countless high-ranking American military officials and prominent politicians in their pockets, they were able to make a deal with the U.S. Government by paying them $100 billion dollars, and paying off 25% of their GDP, in exchange for either stopping the war and the missiles being dropped on Iraq soil, or taking the American soldiers out of Iraq. After the deal between the 'Ndrangheta and the U.S. Government, prominent government officials all over the U.S. did everything to try to cover it up and keep it secretive amongst Americans, they did not want anyone to find out that they made an agreement with criminals or terrorists. Hussein was flabbergasted at the 'Ndrangheta's extraordinary global power and reach. While Hussein was at war and his family was in trouble and on the run, the 'Ndrangheta gave Hussein and his sons Uday and Qusay Hussein $2 billion to fund his escape, and gave his family a vast fortune to fund their escape, Hussein stated to his loyalists to keep their deal with the 'Ndrangheta and always remain their friends and let them always have control over the country, he stated "never be their enemies, you wont survive a second, always be their friends, they are like the Roman Empire." After Hussein's death in 2006, the 'Ndrangheta continued to have a strong presence in Iraq, even helping the Iraqi government battle and kill thousands of terrorist's affiliated with ISIS or Militias. They still are extremely powerful in Iraq, and still have a'lot of control over the corrupt government and military, virtually controlling the whole country.

David Gonzi, the Prime Minister of Malta, Lawrence Gonzi, was accused of illegal activities by acting as a trustee shareholder in a gaming company. The company operated by a soldier (warrior) of the 'Ndrangheta in Malta. His name appeared several times on an investigation document of over 750 pages that was commissioned by the tribunal of the Reggio Calabria. Gonzi called the document unprofessional. A European arrest warrant was published for Gonzi to appear at the tribunal but this never materialised. Gonzi, however, was completely exonerated from the list of potential suspects in the ‘Ndrangheta gaming bust. The 'Ndrangheta still continues its reign in Malta, operating in the gaming companies, among many other operations and businesses, making billions of dollars a year, and having a stranglehold on Malta.
After investigation of the presence of the 'Ndrangheta, 21 gaming outlets had their operation license temporarily suspended in Malta due to irregularities in a period of one year.

In the aftermath of the San Luca feud in 2007 and subsequent arrests in Italy (Operation "Crimine"), it became clear that the group had also infiltrated the economically proliferous regions of Switzerland and Southern Germany. In March 2016, Swiss law enforcement in cooperation with Italian state prosecutors arrested a total of 15 individuals, 13 in the city of Frauenfeld, 2 in the Kanton of Valais, accusing them of active membership to an organized crime syndicate also known as "Operazione Helvetica". The meetings were taking place in a relatively remote location using the now defunct entity the "Wängi Boccia Club" as its cover. According to the Italian prosecutor Antonio De Bernardo, there are several cells operating within the jurisdiction of the Swiss Federation, estimating the number of operatives per cell to about 40, and a couple of 100 in total. All of the arrested persons are Italian citizens, the two men arrested in the Valais have already been extradited to Italy, and as of August 2016, one individual arrested in Frauenfeld has been approved for extradition to Italy. His younger cousin, Antonio Rogliano runs the family in Calabria. On Tuesday, 11 February 2014, both F.B.I. and Italian Police intercepted the transatlantic network of U.S. and Italian crime families. The raid targeted the Gambino and Bonanno families in the U.S. while in Italy, it targeted the Ursino 'ndrina from Gioiosa Jonica. Even when the Italian-American Mafia was at its peak, the 'Ndrangheta was and still is far more powerful, influential and dangerous than they were in America. Even in America, the 'Ndrangheta is unrivaled and unsurpassed in power, influence and reach. The 'Ndrangheta reportedly had then U.S. President Ronald Reagan in their pocket, from 1981-1989.
