Angelo "Big Angie" or "Tony" Anthony Licavoli (born August 12, 1949, ) was a member of the Detroit Partnership, and also an underboss of the Licavoli Mob, a Mafia crime family based in Detroit, Michigan.
Born in Palermo, Italy, he later emigrated to Detroit. He started working for his cousin Peter Licavoli by doing some petty stealing. By 1942, he began his work in organized crime, becoming a soldier in the Licavoli Mob, the crime family started his cousins, also become a member of the Detroit Partnership; he would "make his bones" that year by killing a black businessman who refused to pay the Licavolis. In 1955, he "made his bones" by murdering a local black businessman who refused to pay tribute to the Licavolis. Licavoli would eventually get promoted to Capo in 1977, and then Underboss by 1991.
In 1945 he opened his restaurant, the Villa Nova. Having ran his own crew since 1970, Angelo, who began working more closely with his cousin Dominic Licavoli, was promoted to Capo in 1977, and then, finally, to Underboss in 1991. He retired from his restaurant business in 1995.
