Cesare "CP" Ponticello was the former and final boss of the now defunct Rochester crime family from 1995, until his disappearance in February of 1999. He was born and raised in East Harlem New York from 1964 to 1989, where he was an associate of the genovese crime family, aswell as a member of the 116th street crew. He became one of the biggest earners of the family, aswell as one of the biggest druglords in city, supplying the likes of Alpo Martinez Richard "Fritz" Simmons, and various others...He became the youngest made made men in the mafia at 23 years old, and continued to make money for the family until his arrest in 1989 in which he felt betrayed by the family due to a drug deal gone wrong involving two of his close friends. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for an attempted murder on a rival dominican drug dealer. He was sent to clinton correctional facility in upstate new york to serve his sentence. He was released 4 years earlier than expected, after being acquainted with a powerful soldier in the rochester crime family. The two grew close in prison, which eventually led to Cesare joining the rochester crime family. At the time, the family was on it's last legs, but was still very much powerful in the streets. Cesare was later made a capo in the family in 1993, and then eventually the boss after the death of samuel "red" russotti. He would remain boss until his disappearance in 1999. After that, the rochester crime family had become defunct. Despite what little information there is on his tenure as boss, it's said that he was the first and only crime boss in new york to completely take over the weapons and drugs trade. He had direct access to military grade weaponry, such as Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers, Making him one of the most dangerous gangsters in the history of the united states.

"Cesar Ponticello was definitely a better boss than John Gott<nowiki/>i. For starters, he was alot smarter. he stayed out of the limelight, and even closed down some of the social clubs in the area, preferring to operate at construction site trailers. However, he was often reckless in times of conflict. he preferred to negotiate deals with violence, rather than peacefully. even shooting at random police officers when they didn't accept his bribes...he didn't want to be seen as weak by the other local gangs in the city. Had he not disappeared in 99, he probably would've taken over the criminal underworld ".---George Anastasia
